Directions

From Pendleton, Oregon, follow Interstate 84 east for approximately 43 miles, or from La Grande, follow Interstate 84 west for approximately 19 miles to Forest Service Road 31 (Summit Road). Follow Summit Road for 9 miles to Forest Service Road 3109. Turn left and continue for 2 miles to the Whitman Route Trailhead Interpretive Area.
