Windy Hill Boating Site

Windy Hill is positioned on a peninsula jutting out into central Arizona’s largest lake. This site also has a large campground and other improvements.




The entire route is paved with the exception of Forest Road (FR) 82A. From Claypool (between Globe and Miami): Take State Hwy. 188 northwest for 25 miles to the junction of FR 82; turn right and continue to the site.

From Mesa: Take State Hwy. 87/Beeline Highway north for approximately 60 miles to the junction with State Hwy. 188. Turn right and follow State Hwy. 188 for 33 miles to the junction with State Route 88. Continue on State Hwy. 188 for 4 miles to FR (FR) 82. Turn left (north) on FR 82, and continue to the site.
