Butcher Jones Recreation Site is located 31 miles east of Mesa, on Saguaro Lake. From Mesa, travel 27 miles northeast on State Hwy. 87 to Bush Highway/Forest Road (FR) 204, and turn right (southwest). Follow FR 204 for 2 miles to FR 166 and turn left. Follow it 2 miles to Butcher Jones Recreation Site. The trail to Peregrine Pt. is east of Butcher Jones Beach.
