From Grants Pass take Highway 199 (Redwood Highway) to Riverbanks Road just across the Applegate River. Turn right onto Riverbanks Road and follow it to Forest Service road 2706 (Shan Creek Road). Follow Shan Creek Road for about 1.2 miles to the beginning of the trail. Shan Creek can also be accessed by following road 2706 for about 7 miles until you come to Forest Service road 2509. Turn north on 2509 and travel about a half mile to Forest Service road 2509-056. Turn on road 056 and follow it for about 4.3 miles to the west end of the Shan Creek Trail. helps you discover and book trips to all of America's public places.
