From Cave Junction, OR, at Wild Rivers Ranger Station on Highway 199, go south on Highway 199. After the bridge crossing turn left on Rocky Dale Road and travel about 6 miles till Waldo Road and turn left. Go 0.8 mile to four corners and turn right on Takilma Road (County Road # 5820). Then travel 3.5 miles to where the road forks and take the right fork onto Forest Road 011. Cross bridge and turn left and go 0.2 mile to the trailhead on left. Park or follow trail signs. (High clearance vehicles recommended through maze of old roads and meadows for about 0.3 mile) stay to the left along river then a short right to secondary parking at a clearing at Forest Road 581 marker.
