Wilson Reservoir Recreation Management Area

Rolling sagebrush surrounds this scenic area that lies near the base of the majestic Bull Run Mountains. The reservoir is a popular year-round fishery for rainbow and German brown trout. Large mouth bass fishing is usually good during the summer months. Ice fishing is very popular, although vehicle access is poor and the road is not maintained during winter months. There are 24 campsites with picnic tables and fire rings. Vault toilets, hand pump water and a boat ramp. Accessible bathrooms, fishing dock and picnic area. Camping fees - $4.00 per vehicle/night. Boat ramp fees $2.00 per visit. Day use fee $2.00 per vehicle.

Directions

Located 83 miles northwest of Elko. Follow NV 225 north for approximately 27 miles. At the end of the pavement, take the left fork and continue for approximately 6 miles. Turn left (west) onto a well maintained dirt road and follow for 3.5 miles. Take a right (north) at the fork and continue for 6.5 miles.
