At Hopewell Mound Group, visitors can hike on the multiple trails on the park property which weave amongst the footprints of the earthwork walls and mounds. Visitors can also utilize the paved multi-use trial that runs through the grounds and connects Washington Court House with Chillicothe.

The visitor center at Mound City Group houses a museum, auditorium and bookstore. The museum contains artifacts recovered during the last major archeological excavation in the 1920's. The building is open from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm every day, except for Thanksgiving, Christmas Day and New Year's Day. The grounds of the park are open from dawn to dusk, every day of the year.

There are multiple trails visitors can access at Seip earthworks. All trails lead to and from the central mound.

Hopewell Culture National Historical Park is located in south-central Ohio at the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains.

By Plane

The nearest airport is the Port Columbus International Airport (CMH) located 55 miles north of the park. From the airport, take I-270 south. Exit on US Route 23 heading south. Exit at State Route 207 just north of Chillicothe and turn right, follow signs to the park via State Route 207 & State Route 104.

By Car

The park's Mound City Group Visitor Center in Chillicothe, Ohio is located on US Route 104, two miles north of the US Route 35 overpass.
