Located on the eastern slopes of the Cascades in Central Oregon, the Deschutes National Forest offers year-round recreation opportunities. Home to more than 1.6 million acres, including 5 wilderness areas and 2 scenic byways, the Forest spans a varieties of landscapes and ecosystems.  

At this time, we are offering single day passes only. Annual passes can be purchased on the National Forest websites, at National Forest visitor centers, or at approved vendor locations.

The Deschutes has 54 day use recreation sites where a $5 per day standard amenity fee is required. Please visit our website for a list of sites that accept the digital pass.

All visitors to the Deschutes National Forest must display a valid pass at day use fee sites where required. For a list of recreation sites which are covered by the digital pass, please visit our website

If purchasing your pass on-site, no printed copy of the pass will be available. Instead, your license plate number will be used to confirm compliance. If purchasing a pass in advance, a printed copy of the pass is recommended for your vehicle as connectivity is limited. 

This pass is valid until 11:59 PM of the date listed on the pass, and only for the date and vehicle specified for this pass. 

Passes are non-transferrable, non-refundable, not replaceable if lost or stolen, and are void if altered or reproduced.
