Not recommended for visitors with known heart or respiratory problems, poor circulation or difficulty walking long distances on unlevel surfaces and negotiating stairs. Evacuation from the cave to a hospital for medical attention could take several hours.
In order to minimize the spread of White Nose Syndrome, a fungus that has resulted in the death of over one million bats in the eastern United States, Blanchard Spring Caverns has instituted stringent disinfection procedures for all off-trail spelunking tours this summer. All equipment and outerwear including gloves are provided by the Caverns. VIsitors must provide their own boots. No personal caving equipment allowed. No Exceptions. Shorts and t-shirt recommended for wear under required coveralls. It is required you bring an extra pair of shoes for use after off-trail adventure.

The Wild Cave Tour takes visitors through the undeveloped sections of the middle level of Blanchard. Particpants should be in good physical shape, wear sturdy boots with ankle support and aggressive tread, and come prepared to get dirty and have fun. They will climb very steep slopes, crawl on hands and knees, pass under low ceilings, and travel through red clay. Coveralls, hard hats, kneepads, gloves and lights are provided. Participants need to bring an extra pair of shoes to change into after the tour. The tour ends at the Titans formations. The Wild Cave Tour is limited to a minimum of three and a maximum of twelve people. Participants must be at least ten years old, and a responsible adult must tour with ten to twelve year olds. This tour is available by reservation only.

Know Before You Go
This is a strenuous and very physical tour. Participants need to be in good physical shape, because the tour involves climbing, crawling, stooping, stretching, etc. to traverse the cave. Participants must wear boots with ankle support, and need to bring an extra pair of shoes post-tour. No tennis or athletic-type shoes allowed during tour! Available by reservation only. Each tour must have a minimum of 3 participants. Due to the possible spread of disease to bats, participants may not use personal caving gear or backpacks. Wild Cave Tour
- Novice and experienced cavers can experience a more adventurous cave tour. This kind of tour is very different from walking on a paved trail. The tour is 1.6 miles round trip, up and down, over clay and boulders. The tour is
strenuous, so participants should expect climbing, crawling, stooping and sliding.
- Duration: Starts at 9:30 AM, ends between 2:30 and 3:30 PM
- $75.00 per person - includes a non-refundable deposit of $25.00

- November to March - Wednesdays through Sundays; April to October - Daily
- Reservations required.
- Minimum three, maximum twelve people.
Details:
- Participants must be at least ten years old. Children twelve and younger
must be accompanied by an adult.
- Coveralls, hard hats, lamps, belts, gloves, knee pads, and a souvenir
T-shirt provided. You may not use personal caving gear.
- Bring sturdy, lace-up, over the ankle boots and an extra pair of street
shoes. No tennis or athletic shoes on the tour!
- Wear lightweight clothing.
- Bring snacks and water.
- Cameras OK if not in another cave since 2000.

Directions
From Mountain View, take AR Highway 5-9-14 north for 5 miles to Allison. At Allison, take AR Highway 14 west for 8 miles towards the town of Fifty Six. Blanchard Springs Caverns is marked by a brown sign to the right. Turn right and follow the road to the Blanchard Visitor Center.
Note: Some Tours may be available only from the Tour Park on a first-come-first-served basis. Arrival dates earlier than the online-reservation-window may also be available at the Tour Park.
