Tour Description

A Day Before parking pass will admit one passenger car and up to 6 passengers to the Sugarlands Visitor Center parking lot at the date and time assigned. Day Before parking passes will be held out and not offered for sale until 10 a.m. the day before the event. The passes will remain on sale until sold out or until 4:30 p.m. the day of the event, whichever comes first.

85 Day Before passes will be available for each day of the event. There will be no parking passes available at Sugarlands. If you are unable to print your confirmation notice, please remember your reservation number.

There is no reason to arrive earlier than the time on the pass but you should arrive within 30 minutes after the time on the pass. The pass guarantees access to the parking lot until 30 minutes after the time assigned.

Please note: Prices listed here do not include the $1.50 per ticket reservation fee, which is non-refundable under all circumstances. Prices listed here also do not include the $1 per person fee for the trolley, which will be collected when you board the trolley.

Know Before You Go

• No changes can be made to the reservation.
• Parking passes are not transferrable. The person named in the pass must be present for the party to be admitted.
• The reservation fee is not refundable, even if the NPS cancels the event due to hazardous weather. Rain checks will not be issued.
• The trolley fee is $1 per person, roundtrip (cash only), paid when boarding the trolley.
• The viewing area and trolley stop is a natural, outdoor environment with no shelter. Though the event may be cancelled if hazardous weather seems likely, participants should be prepared for the possibility of inclement weather.

Accessibility

Accessible shuttle trolleys are available. Access to viewing sites is via paved or gravel trails, most of which are wheelchair accessible but some of which have grades which exceed ADA standards. Excellent firefly viewing opportunities are normally available from the paved area near the trolley dropoff point in Elkmont.

Directions

Parking is provided at the Sugarlands Visitor Center. The visitor center is located 2 miles south of Gatlinburg, TN on the Newfound Gap Road, aka U.S. Highway 441. Trolleys will shuttle visitors to the viewing area.
