Tour DescriptionEleanor Roosevelt NHS ( known as Val-Kill) is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Tour is also closed on Thanksgiving Christmas and New Years Day. Tour Details
Know Before You GoOperational Hours: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, open 7 days a week. The only days scheduled for closure are Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years Day. The grounds are free and open from dawn to dusk. Reservations are required for all commerical groups of 10 people or more. AccessibilityAll the historic buildings in Hyde Park are fully handicap accessible. The second floor of Val-Kill is not handicap accessible. AmenitiesThere is a bookstore operated by the Roosevelt-Vanderbilt Historical Association. DirectionsVal -Kill is on Violet Ave ( Route 9G) in Hyde Park NY(zip code 12538). It is 90 miles north of NYC and 70 miles south of Albany NY. Note: Some Tours may be available only from the Tour Park on a first-come-first-served basis. Arrival dates earlier than the online-reservation-window may also be available at the Tour Park. |
