This tour covers the Historic tour route. Limited sections of the Star Chamber, Violet City Lantern and Broadway tours are also covered. There are hundreds of stairs on this tour. Low light in river passage.

Ticket ages: Youth - ages 6 - 12 (children 5 & under are free and do not require a ticket), Adult - ages 13 & over, Interagency Senior - 62 & over, Interagency Access - no age requirement. Interagency Annual Pass is NOT accepted for cave tours.

Any youth under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult 18 years or older, on all tours.

Will Call pickup: 30 minutes prior to tour time.

Visitors with known heart or respiratory problems, poor circulation or difficulty walking long distances and negotiating stairs, should carefully consider thier limitations. Evacuation from the cave to a hospital for medical attention could take several hours.

Trace the stages of cave development from solid layers of limestone to the world's longest known cave system. Follow the course of water from ridge top to river bottom and witness the persistence and power required to create this geologic marvel.

Know Before You Go

Tour Park Facility Operational Hours: Tours run every day except Christmas Day. Visitor Center closes early on Christmas Eve. Visitor Center hours vary with season. This trip has an elevation change of nearly 360 feet and descends and climbs over 500 steps. Low light in river passage.

Note: Some Tours may be available only from the Tour Park on a first-come-first-served basis. Arrival dates earlier than the online-reservation-window may also be available at the Tour Park.
