National Archives, DCNotice:The National Archives Experience is home to the original Charters of Freedom (Declaration of Independence, Constitution, and Bill of Rights), Public Vaults permanent exhibit gallery, O'Brien temporary exhibit gallery, Boeing Learning Center, and William G. McGowan Theater.For visits to the National Archives: Reservations are not required for entrance to the National Archives Experience. Visitors may wait in the general public line for entry at any time the museum is open. However, advance reservations are highly recommended and will allow visitors to avoid the exterior portion of the line to see the Charters of Freedom during the height of the tourist season (mid-March through Labor Day) and during holiday seasons such as the weeks of Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's. When booking advanced reservations, you must include all members of your party, regardless of age. The entrance for the general public line is located at the corner of Constitution Avenue and 9th Street. The entrance for reservation holders is located at the corner of Constitution Avenue and 7th Street. Reservation Holders:
For Tours or Visits: Reserved Guided Tours are available once (1) daily starting at 9:45 a.m., Monday through Friday Self-Guided Visits are available daily Monday through Sunday; 10:15 a.m. to 90 minutes prior to closing. For bookings of 21 or more for Self Guided Visits, please click the "Switch to Group Sales" link located in the top right hand corner of this page. The National Archives Experience is open: March 15 through Labor Day, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Day after Labor Day through March 14, 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Closed on: Thanksgiving Day and on December 25.
