Campbell Creek Science Center Public Programs
Each summer, the boreal forest transforms into a lush and colorful landscape of plants and flowers. Join a CCSC naturalist on a wildflower walk! Discover which plants are blooming, explore plant adaptations, and learn basic skills to identify common plants. Later in the summer, learn essential skills to identify berries and discover why berries are vital to plants and animals.
Note: If there is no "A" on the calendar when attempting to select an event date, that means the event has sold out. We hope you'll join us for a future event!

Dress appropriately for the weather. This program will take place entirely outdoors. Temperatures on Campbell Tract can often be 10 degrees colder than in other parts of Anchorage.
The Campbell Tract is home to many types of wildlife, including moose and bears. Always pay attention for wild animals, give them lots of space, and practice “bear aware” techniques (e.g., travel in groups, make noise, and carry bear spray).
Park in the main Science Center parking lot and follow the signs to take the walking path to the Main Entrance.
