Lake O' the Pines includes about 18,700 acres of water and 9,000 acres of land located in the piney woods of Northeast Texas. The lake is located partially in Marion, Harrison, Upshur, Morris and Camp Counties. Recreation opportunities are numerous with camping, boating, fishing, hunting, kayaking, disc golf, watchable wildlife, and bird watching, including wintering bald eagles. Other local attractions include antique shopping, Mardi Gras Upriver, the Annual Historic Pilgrimage, and Christmas Candlelight Tour in Jefferson, TX. Local attractions also include Stagecoach days, a Fire Ant Festival and Christmas lights in Marshall, TX, along with Texas Wildflower Trail routes along some area roads.
State fishing and hunting licenses are required at Lake O’ the Pines. Some additional hunting regulations apply, please call or stop by the Project Office for more information, 903-665-2336.
All visitors to Lake O’ the Pines must display a valid pass at day use fee sites where required.
If purchasing your pass on-site, cashless fee machines must be utilized. Your license plate number and pass will be used to confirm compliance.
If purchasing a pass in advance, a printed copy of the pass is required for your vehicle.
This pass does not guarantee parking availability. For your safety, please remember that parking outside of designated areas is discouraged and visitors who park illegally may be fined and towed. This pass is valid until 11:59 PM of the date listed on the pass, and only for the DATE and Vehicle specified for this pass.
Golden Age Passport or America the Beautiful Interagency Pass can be used for access. Passes are non-transferrable, non-refundable, not replaceable if lost or stolen, and are void if altered or reproduced.
