Overview

Xunaa Shuká Hít (Huna Tribal House) is open daily during the summer season (Memorial Day to Labor Day). In 2016, after almost 20 years of collaborative planning, the National Park Service and the Hoonah Indian Association dedicated Xunaa Shuká Hít (Huna Ancestors’ House), a traditional Tlingit structure designed to symbolically anchor the Huna Tlingit in Glacier Bay, their ancestral homeland. Today, tribal members gather here to reconnect with their traditional homeland, life-ways, and ancestral knowledge.
