Both motorized and non-motorized winter recreation opportunites are available.
Groomed snowmobile routes leave the parking area and follow Forest Sevice Road 4832 to popular riding areas on Keechelus Ridge.
Non-motorize users can snowshoe or ski around Gold Creek Pond and into the Gold Creek Valley.
You will see Kendall Peak to the northwest, Rampart Ridge to the east, Alta Mountain on the northeast and Chikamin Ridge to the north. Snowshoe north onto Forest Service road 142 to enter the east side of the valley. This valley is about one mile wide and narrows as you proceed up the east side of Gold Creek. Part of this route travels through private residential property in Ski-Tur Valley.
Avalanche slide paths are on either side of the valley off the Kendall Peak area on the west or Rampart Ridge area on the east. Try to stay in the middle of the valley as much as possible or follow the creek up the valley. You will find a good turnaround point as the valley narrows at approximately 3.5 miles at the creek. Snowmobile use is limited to Ski Tur Valley residents.
