A destination unlike any other, the Chattanooga Choo Choo relives the rumblings of a golden age-gone-by. Built in 1909,Terminal Station served most trains traveling to points south until 1970, when faster modes of transportation replaced rail travel. Saved from demolition by a group of local investors, the Terminal reopened in 1973 as a hotel and vacation complex. Still today, the 1909 station, with its magnificent 85-foot, free-standing dome, is the focal point of this historic property. 2009 marked the Chattanooga Choo Choo's100th anniversary and its commencement into a second century of exceptional accommodations, spirited dining venues, and family fun.
