Tumacácori National Historical Park is in the mesquite highlands, close to 3,300 feet (914 m) in elevation, where temperatures are five to ten degrees F cooler than Tucson or Phoenix. Visiting the park in this moderate climate is pleasurable during any season of the year but remember to prepare accordingly. Wear layered clothing and a hat, and drink plenty of water.

Tumacácori National Historical Park is closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas Days.

Visitors to Tumacácori National Historical Park have the opportunity to explore the mission grounds/ruins, and museum on your own or with a ranger. View the self-guided tour online or pick up a self-guided booklet at the park. Guided tours are available from January through March. You may book the Calabazas and Guevavi Missions Tour in advance on Recreation.gov.
