Welcome to Pinnacles National Park. Pinnacles is located in the Gablian Mountains east of Monterey/Salinas, California. The park features volcanic rock formations from an ancient volcanic field. There are approximately 32 miles of trails and two talus caves, in a Mediterranean climate. Winters are cool, but summers are very hot with temperatures over 100 degrees. There is one campground located on the east side of the park; camping fees are seperate from this entrance pass.
The best time to visit the park is in the spring and late fall. The park experiences heavy park use during those times, and parking can be limited. There may be a wait to enter the park at those times. The west side of the park, coming from Soledad, California is a day-use area only, with no camping allowed. This digital pass is good for both sides of the park.
