Cherokee National Forest Site Pass

Cherokee National Forest

This pass admits the passholder and accompanying passengers of a single, private (non-commercial) vehicle.

All visitors to the Cherokee National Forest must display a valid pass at day use fee sites where required. Choose your pass based on the district you will be recreating on.

Most day use sites on the Cherokee National Forest are open from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm. This pass is valid only while the recreation site is open, and only for the date and vehicle specified for this pass.

If purchasing your pass on-site, no printed copy of the pass will be available. Instead, your license plate number will be used to confirm compliance. Keep in mind, not all recreation sites have connectivity, so purchase a pass in advance if possible.

If purchasing a pass in advance, a printed copy of the pass is recommended for your vehicle as connectivity in the Cherokee National Forest can be limited.

This pass does not guarantee parking availability. For your safety, please remember that parking outside of designated areas is discouraged and visitors who park illegally may be fined and towed.

Alcohol is prohibited at the following day use areas: Chilhowee Recreation Area, Mac Point Recreation Area, Kings Slough Boat Launch, Ocoee Whitewater Center, Parksville Beach, Spring Creek Shooting Range, Indian Boundary Recreation Area, Bubbling Springs Shooting Range, Rock Creek Recreation Area, Scioto Shooting Range, Little Milligan Boat Launch, Jacobs Creek Recreation Area, Pond Mountain Shooting Range, Rat Branch Boat Launch, and Shook Branch Beach.
