- This entry fee is not a sunrise reservation. Visit the Haleakala National Park Summit Sunrise Reservations page to book a separate sunrise reservation, up to 60 days in advance.
- Haleakala National Park charges an entrance fee. You may purchase a 3-day entrance pass below. The pass is valid for Haleakala National Park only.
- STOP THE SPREAD OF INVASIVE SPECIES. Remove plants, seeds, animals, an d mud from boots, gear, pets, and vehicles. Clean your gear before entering and leaving the recreation site. - Haleakala National Park is located on the Island of Maui in Hawai'i. The park consists of two distinct districts, the Summit District and Kipahulu. The Summit District offers some of the most stunning views of sunrise and sunset on the planet and the Kipahulu district offers remarkable waterfalls and bamboo forests.
- Are you visiting more than one park? If you plan to visit other national parks or federal lands, consider purchasing an Interagency Pass (Annual, Senior, Access, Military, etc.) when you arrive at Haleakala.
- Do you already own a pass? If you already own a valid Interagency Pass (Annual, Senior, Access, Military, etc.), you do not need to purchase any of the passes below.
- Site Passes purchased on Recreation.gov are non-refundable and non-transferable.

THE VEHICLE ENTRY FEE DOES NOT INCLUDE A SUNRISE RESERVATION. A separate reservation is required to enter the park in time (between 3:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m.) to view the sunrise at the summit. You are purchasing a digital site pass that is valid only for 3 days at Haleakala National Park.
Haleakala National Park requires all visitors to pay an entrance fee except children under 16 years of age.
This fee covers unlimited entry for one vehicle and passengers for 3 consecutive days, beginning on the start date you select.
Please be prepared to show your site pass on your mobile device (or printed on paper). Connectivity is limited in some parts of the park, so have a downloaded copy or hard copy available at all times.
Entrance passes are non-transferrable, non-refundable, will not be replaced if lost or stolen and will be void if altered or reproduced.
Do you already own a pass? Haleakala National Park honors the Interagency annual and lifetime passes that are valid at multiple national park and federal sites. If you own one of these passes you do NOT need to purchase a digital site pass.
