Campbell Creek Science Center Public Programs
Fall in love with Alaska's owls! Join CCSC educators to take a closer look at owl adaptations, dissect an owl pellet, and make an owl craft. Then take a night hike through the forest in search of Alaska's elusive owl residents. Participants will travel on trails for more than a mile over uneven ground that may be snowy and icy. Notify CCSC in advance of any special needs or requirements you have.

Children under 5 are welcome, however activities are oriented for those 5 years old and above. Youth under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult caregiver throughout the program.
Dress appropriately for the weather. This program includes an outdoor walk of more than one mile. Temperatures on Campbell Tract can often be 10 degrees colder than in other parts of Anchorage.
The Campbell Tract is home to many types of wildlife, including moose and bears. Always pay attention for wild animals, give them lots of space, and practice “bear aware” techniques (e.g., travel in groups, make noise, and carry bear spray).
Park in the main Science Center parking lot and follow the signs to take the walking path to the Main Entrance.
