From meadows found in the montane life zone to the glistening lakes in the subalpine zone and to the mountain peaks located in the alpine zone, there is something for everyone to discover. Along the way explore over 300 miles of hiking trails and incredible wildlife viewing.

Rocky Mountain National Park will implement another pilot timed entry permit reservation system during certain hours of the day, beginning on May 24 through mid-October. This system applies to all areas of the park. There are two different timed entry permit options to choose from: Timed Entry or Timed Entry + Bear Lake Road.

Visitors will need two things to enter Rocky Mountain National Park: a timed entry permit and a valid park entrance pass.

A park entrance fee is required to enter Rocky Mountain National Park

If you already have an America the Beautiful Interagency Annual, Senior, Access, Military, Veterans, 4th Grade, Volunteer or other valid entrance pass, you do not need to purchase this digital site pass.  

Only one entrance pass is needed per private vehicle.  

You are required to show proof of this pass at the park's entrance gate. It is strongly recommended to print out or download this pass on your mobile device before reaching the park's entrance. Cell phone connectivity in many areas of the park is unreliable and very limited. 

Be ready to present the passholder's ID must each time you pass through the park's entrance station. The passholder must be present in the vehicle.

Over 4 million people visit Rocky Mountain National Park each year. Be prepared for and expect long lines when entering Rocky Mountain National Park. Purchasing this pass does not expedite entry into the park.

Passes are non-transferable, non-refundable, not replaceable if lost or stolen and are void if altered or reproduced.
