Sumac Creek Shooting Range Pass

Recreation - Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest

The Sumac Creek Shooting Range on the Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forests provides hunters and sportsmen the opportunity to hone their skills.

A pass is required per shooter and covers the use of the specified Shooting Range.

This location is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Once on-site, follow the posted instructions. 

For additional information, you can download and sign into the free Recreation.gov mobile app on Android or iOS prior to your arrival as some remote areas have no cellular service: https://www.recreation.gov/mobile-app  

If purchasing your Pass on-site, no printed copy of the pass will be available. Instead, your license plate number will be used to confirm compliance. 

A pass is required per shooter and covers the use of the Shooting Range. You must enter the names for each shooter and a license plate for each vehicle that will be at the range. Passes can be downloaded to each shooter's phones, and/or printed ahead of time and carried onto the range. You can enter separate emails for each shooter, or the purchaser can forward to an email or text the pass to each shooter. 

Sumac Creek Shooting Range is closed Tuesday mornings for cleaning and maintenance. Chestnut Shooting Range is closed all day Sunday.

Passes are non-transferrable between shooters, non-refundable, not replaceable if lost or stolen, and are void if altered or reproduced.

A state driver's license must be available to show during a law enforcement compliance check.

Cell phone connectivity on the forest may be limited, plan ahead.
