Vick shooting range is located on the Talladega National Forest, The Oakmulgee Ranger District currently operates and maintains the Vick Shooting Range as an unsupervised public shooting range on the Talladega National Forest to provide a quality, safe, and enjoyable facility for hunters and shooters. 

This range is located approximately 6 miles outside the city of Centreville and city of Brent, Alabama. It is open for shooting practice seven days a week during daylight hours.

All 6 shooting benches face a target berm at 100 yards. There is sanitary facility adjacent to the shooting area.

This pass permits one vehicle and the vehicle's occupants to the South Sandy Shooting Range for one day.

All visitors must display a valid pass at day use fee sites where required. A printed copy of the pass is recommended for your vehicle. If you cannot print your pass, please write down your confirmation number on a provided fee envelope onsite and display in vehicle dash. If paying onsite, please write confirmation number on provided fee envelope and display in vehicle dash.

This pass does not guarantee parking availability. For your safety, please remember that parking outside of designated areas is discouraged and visitors who park illegally may be fined and towed. This pass is valid until 11:59 PM of the date listed on the pass, and only for the date and vehicle specified for this pass. There is no room for RVs due to limited space in the parking area.

No Golden Age Passport or America the Beautiful Interagency Pass discounts are applicable.

Vick Shooting Range Rules

1. STATIONARY PAPER TARGETS ONLY! No glass, plastic jugs, or metal.  

2. SHOOT INTO THE EMBANKMENT.

3. PLACE YOUR TARGETS AND TRASH (Cartridges, Shot Shells, etc.) IN A GARBAGE CAN OR REMOVE FROM THE AREA! 

4. KEEP ALL FIREARMS POINTED IN A SAFE DIRECTION.

5. DO NOT WALK DOWN RANGE UNTIL ALL SHOOTING HAS CEASED, FIREARMS ARE UNLOADED AND POINTED IN A SAFE DIRECTION.
