Lake Russell Boat Launch and Beach Areas Pass

Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest

Adjacent to the nearby Lake Russell Campground is easy to access grass beach area, boat ramp, group pavillon, and the adjacent Lake Russell Wildlife management area. There are numerous hiking and biking trails including Lake Russell Loop Trail, Sourwood Trail, swimming, and located nearby is Ladyslipper Equestrian, hiking, and biking trail and the Sourwood hiking and biking trail at the Nancytown Day Use and Trailhead.

Fishing, boating, kayaking, and paddle boarding opportunities abound. Trolling motor and non-motorized boating only allowed on Lake Russell. This bucolic getaway is sure to become an outdoor destination for the entire family!

All visitors are recommended to either display a printed copy of the pass on the dashboard of the vehicle or have the verification code available on your mobile device. If using the printed Day Pass display it with the QR code and pass information visible on your vehicle dashboard. If purchasing onsite, please have the Recreation.gov app downloaded prior to arrival. Once purchased please write down confirmation number on provided envelope and post in vehicle dashboard.

This pass is valid until 11:59 PM of the date listed on the pass, and only for the date and vehicle specified for this pass.

America the Beautiful Passes: Senior, Access, Military, Gold Star, Veteran, and Golden Age Senior/Access are accepted at this site. Those passes are good for the pass holder and up to three adults per vehicle.

Cell phone connectivity on the forest may be limited, plan ahead.

Passes are non-transferrable between operators, non-refundable, not replaceable if lost or stolen, and are void if altered or reproduced.
