Milner Historic Recreation Area

Milner Historic Recreation Area offers outdoor enthusiasts access to 4.5 miles of scenic snake river and picturesque campsites. The Recreation Area has two boat ramps, and one picnic Area. The recreation area is open year-round to boating, kayaking, (Ice) fishing, water sports, wildlife viewing, picnicking, hiking, and swimming.

The day use and annual pass provide access to two boat ramps, kayak launch, picnic shelter with grill and horseshoe pits, and a self-guided 1.2 miles paved interpretive path follows along Historic Oregon Trail route. Annual passes can be purchased at the Burley Field Office.

The day pass is only good for the day purchased and permits the use of the boat ramps and day use amenities.

If you do not wish to purchase the day use pass in advance this location is also available on a first-come, first-served basis. Once on-site, follow the posted Scan & Pay instructions. You will need to download the free Recreation.gov mobile app prior to your arrival as some remote areas have limited or no cellular service. If purchasing onsite, please have the Recreation.gov app downloaded prior to arrival. Once purchased please write down confirmation number on provided envelope and post in vehicle dashboard.

If purchasing pass in advance, you are required to print a copy of your Day Use pass, with QR code and place the printout on your dashboard of your vehicle for the duration of your stay.

This pass does not guarantee parking availability. For your safety, please remember that parking outside of designated areas is discouraged and visitors who park illegally may be fined and towed. This pass is valid until 11:59 PM of the date listed on the pass, and only for the date and vehicle specified for this pass.

America the Beautiful Passes: Senior, Access, Military, Gold Star, Veteran, and Golden Age Senior/Access area accepted at this site. These passes cover fees for the passholder and up to three adults per vehicle.

Passes are non-transferrable between operators, non-refundable, not replaceable if lost or stolen, and are void if altered or reproduced.

Day Use Pass is valid for one non-commercial vehicle on date of purchase.

Local state fishing regulations apply.

Drinking water is not available on site.
