The Santa Fe National Forest is a diverse, dynamic landscape with countless recreation opportunities. Fishing accesses, picnic areas, hiking trails, and vast outdoor scenery provide numerous opportunities for outdoor recreation. Developed day use areas provide improved access to those opportunities with common amenities.

 

The Santa Fe National Forest is open year-round with some seasonal closures due to snowpack and habitat protection.

 

The day pass is only good for the day purchased; the Enchantment Pass may be purchased at any Ranger Station or the Supervisor's Office for one-year fee-free entry to all Forest Service day-use sites within the state of New Mexico.

All visitors are required to display a printed copy of their Day Use pass, with QR code visible, on the dashboard of their vehicle for the duration of their stay.

If purchasing onsite, please have the Recreation.gov app downloaded prior to arrival. Once purchased please write down confirmation number on provided envelope and post in vehicle dashboard.

This pass does not guarantee parking availability. For your safety, please remember that parking outside of designated areas is discouraged and visitors who park illegally may be fined and towed. This pass is valid until 11:59 PM of the date listed on the pass, and only for the date and vehicle specified for this pass.

America the Beautiful Passes: Senior, Access, Military, Gold Star, Veteran, and Golden Age Senior/Access area accepted at this site. These passes cover fees for the passholder and up to three adults per vehicle. The Enchantment Pass is accepted at this site. This pass covers fees for the passholder at any Forest Service Day Use Site in the State of New Mexico.

Passes are non-transferrable between operators, non-refundable, not replaceable if lost or stolen, and are void if altered or reproduced.

Cell phone connectivity on the forest may be limited, plan ahead.
