Dowville Picnic Area Pass

Sierra National Forest

Located at the west end near the Huntington Lake Dam, Dowville Picnic Area offers several picnic sites shaded by dense fir trees. Vault toilets are provided and each site has a picnic table.

This location is available on a first-come, first-served basis only as parking is limited. Visitors are required to physically arrive at the picnic area to purchase an Activity Pass. Once on-site, follow the posted instructions and pay for your Activity Pass by scanning the QR code using the Recreation.gov mobile app. Download and sign into the free Recreation.gov mobile app on Android or iOS prior to your arrival as this area has no cellular service: https://www.recreation.gov/mobile-app  

All visitors must display a valid pass at day use fee sites where required. A printed copy of the pass is recommended for your vehicle.

This pass does not guarantee parking availability. For your safety, please remember that parking outside of designated areas is discouraged and visitors who park illegally may be fined and towed. This pass is valid until 11:59 PM of the date listed on the pass, and only for the date and vehicle specified for this pass.

No Golden Age Passport or America the Beautiful Interagency Pass discounts are applicable. Passes are non-transferrable, non-refundable, not replaceable if lost or stolen, and are void if altered or reproduced.
