National Forests in Mississippi
The Delta National Forest has 21 multiple-use trails and one hiking only trail. These trails range from 3/4 to 4 1/2 miles in distance. They provide the outdoor enthusiast and experience in both wooded and open environments. The trails traverse along low lands, waterways, and on reservoirs.
The trails are open to vehicles less than 60 inches wide, unless designated otherwise. Parking is available at all trailheads. Visitors should follow safety regulations, be aware of hunting seasons, and utilize forest maps for exact locations. Trail users may want to contact the District Office at (662) 873-6256 for additional information regarding the many trails available.
All Trails are open for use from 09/01-03/01 with the exception of 707H, 710B, 710A1, 712 which are open year-round.
There is a user fee, but fees are not required for hiking/foot travel. Passes are available for purchase in advance or onsite at the trailheads. If purchasing at a trailhead please ensure you have the Recreation.gov mobile app downloaded before arrival for ease of purchase.
This location is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Once on-site, follow the posted instructions. For additional information, you can download and sign into the free Recreation.gov mobile app on Android or iOS prior to your arrival as some remote areas have limited cellular service: https://www.recreation.gov/mobile-app
All visitors must be able to display a valid pass at day use fee sites where required. If on the trail, it is recommended that you have a valid digital pass or a printed copy of the pass available for verification.
The daily pass is valid until sundown on the date listed on the pass, and only for the date and for the individual specified for this pass. The annual pass is valid for one year after date of purchase.
