Wrights Lake Campground is situated in the timber belt, close to the lake shore, looking up at the majestic rocky peaks of the Sierra Nevada's and Desolation Wilderness. The area is well known for its hiking, wildflowers and birding. Wrights Lake Recreation Area is open from the first of July through the end of September.
The Boat Launch/Day Use pass is only valid for the day purchased and permits the use of the boat launch, beach, and day use amenities. The Boat Launch/Day Use area is open from dawn until dusk. Parking is First Come First Serve.
All visitors are required to display a printed copy of their Day Use/Boat Launch pass, with QR code visible, on the dashboard of their vehicle for the duration of their stay.
When purchasing onsite, please have the Recreation.gov app downloaded prior to arrival. Once purchased please write down confirmation number on the provided receipt tag and post on vehicle dashboard.
This pass does not guarantee parking availability. For your safety, please remember that parking outside of designated areas is discouraged and visitors who park illegally may be fined and towed. This pass is valid until dusk of the date listed on the pass, and only for the date and vehicle specified for this pass.
Passes are non-transferable between operators, non-refundable, not replaceable if lost or stolen, and are void if altered or reproduced.
Cell phone connectivity on the forest may be limited, plan ahead.
