West Point Campground is situated on the shores of Union Valley Reservoir, among the towering cedar and ponderosa pines of Eldorado National Forest. The Recreation Area offers a boat launch and beach access for day use.
Sunset-Union Valley Recreation Area is open Memorial Day weekend through the end of September.
The boat launch pass is only valid for the day purchased and permits the use of the boat launch, beach, and day use amenities. The Boat Launch area is open from dawn until dusk. Parking is First Come First Serve.
When purchasing on site, please have the Recreation.gov app downloaded prior to arrival. Once purchased please write down confirmation number on the provided receipt tag and post on vehicle dashboard.
This pass does not guarantee parking availability. For your safety, please remember that parking outside of designated areas is discouraged and visitors who park illegally may be fined and towed. This pass is valid until dusk of the date listed on the pass, and only for the date and vehicle specified for this pass.
Passes are non-transferable between operators, non-refundable, not replaceable if lost or stolen, and are void if altered or reproduced.
Cell phone connectivity on the forest may be limited, plan ahead.
