The Red Cliffs Recreation Area Day Pass provides parking and access to all amenities. Vehicle height is restricted to 11 ft and 9 inches in order to pass through two narrow tunnels beneath the I-15 freeway.

Passes are required for each vehicle and must be displayed on the dashboard. America the Beautiful Passes can be displayed in lieu of a day pass.
Temperatures in the summer months can be extreme, exceeding 100 F (38C) and hiking is not recommended especially during the hottest part of the day.
Weather conditions can change rapidly, know the forecast before you go. Washes and narrow canyons are subject to flash floods. Thunderstorms can produce dangerous lightning.
Do not rely on technology, most of the recreation area does not have phone and internet connectivity.
Plan your destinations, routes, itinerary and equipment (including water and food), and tell someone where you are going and when you will return.
