Farles Prairie Recreation Area is set along the shores of Farles Lake, this recreation area is a launch point for outdoor adventures, including boating, birding, and fishing along the lake and prairie system.
Farles Praire Recreation Area is available on a first-come, first served basis only for day use. Visitors must physically arrive at the site to claim a parking spot. For convenience, passes may be purchased online in advance. Please note the purchase of a pass in advance does not guarantee parking availability.
Alternatively, pay the fee after arriving on-site by scanning the QR code using the Recreation.gov mobile app. Download and sign into the free Recreation.gov mobile app on Android or iOS prior to your arrival as there is poor cellular service at the site: https://www.recreation.gov/mobile-app
All visitors must display a valid pass at day use fee sites where required. After payment is complete, please write down confirmation number on provided envelope and post in vehicle dash.
This pass does not guarantee parking availability. For your safety, please remember that parking outside of designated areas is discouraged and visitors who park illegally may be fined and towed.
This pass is valid until closing of the date listed on the pass, and only for the date and vehicle specified for this pass.
Golden Age Passport or America the Beautiful Interagency Pass discounts are applicable.
