Prescott National Forest Recreation Pass offers access to 15 distinct recreation sites, providing opportunities for everything from motorized trail access to picturesque lakeside experiences.

 The day pass is only valid for the day the pass is purchased and permits parking within the designated parking areas and use of the on-site amenities. Day passes may be used at any day use site for the date the pass is issued. Multiple sites may be visited with the same pass.

Every Wednesday is fee-free! 

Valid Pass Locations: Alto Pit OHV Area, Granite Basin Boat Launch, Cayuse Trailhead, Groom Creek Nature Trail, Hayfield Draw OHV Area, Lynx Ruin, Metate Trailhead, Mingus Lake, Lynx Lake North Shore, Playa Picnic Ground, Lynx Lake South Shore, Summit, Thumb Butte Recreation Area, Mingus Vista A, and Wekuvde Picnic Area.

When purchasing onsite, please have the Recreation.gov app downloaded prior to arrival. Once purchased please write down confirmation number on provided envelope and post in vehicle dashboard when available to do so. Ensure that the correct license plate information is entered when purchasing the pass for enforcement purposes only.  

This pass does not guarantee parking availability. For your safety, please remember that parking outside of designated areas is discouraged and visitors who park illegally may be fined and towed. This pass is valid until 11:59 PM of the date listed on the pass, and only for the date and vehicle specified for this pass.

America the Beautiful Passes: Senior, Access, Military, Gold Star, Veteran, and Golden Age Senior/Access area accepted at this site. These passes cover fees for the passholder and up to three adults per vehicle.

Passes are non-transferrable between operators, non-refundable, not replaceable if lost or stolen, and are void if altered or reproduced.

Cell phone connectivity on the forest may be limited, plan ahead.
