Middle Saint Vrain Trailhead lies at the west end of Camp Dick Campground.  Four-wheel-drive high clearance vehicles may be able to continue four miles west on the rough Middle Saint Vrain Road (National Forest System Road 114) to Buchanan Pass Trailhead. Middle Saint Vrain Trailhead provides access to Buchanan Pass Trail and the four-wheel-drive Middle Saint Vrain Road (FSR 114.1).

 

The day pass is only good for the day purchased.

Please have the Recreation.gov app downloaded prior to arrival. Once purchased please write down confirmation number on the envelope provided and post in vehicle dashboard.

This pass does not guarantee parking availability. For your safety, please remember that parking outside of designated areas is discouraged and visitors who park illegally may be fined and towed. This pass is valid until 11:59 PM of the date listed on the pass, and only for the date and vehicle specified for this pass.

America the Beautiful Passes: Senior, Access, Military, Gold Star, Veteran, and Golden Age Senior/Access area accepted at this site. These passes cover fees for the passholder and up to three adults per vehicle.

Passes are non-transferable between operators, non-refundable, not replaceable if lost or stolen, and are void if altered or reproduced.

Cell phone connectivity on the forest may be limited, plan ahead.

There is parking for 30 vehicles, with room for a small horse trailer.

No restroom available.

Horse/Pack animals are allowed at this site. Processed weed-free feed required for stock.

Middle St Vrain Road regulations:

Dispersed camping is prohibited within the first 1/2 mile.

Vehicles must be either street-legal or registered annually through Colorado State Parks' OHV Registration Program.

Camp at least 100 feet away from water and trail.
