Rocky Branch is located north of Tuscaloosa, near Brookwood on Holt Lake of the Black Warrior River. Rocky Branch Boat Ramp is a popular fishing and boating recreation area, offering drinking water, flush toilets, bank fishing and paved single-lane boat ramp that is open year-round. The Rocky Branch Day-Use/Beach Area provides swimming beach, group shelters, picnic sites, drinking water, outdoor showers, flush toilets, and hiking trails. The beach area is open seasonally from the Friday before Memorial Day to Labor Day. Hiking Trails remain open year-round. Please review park conditions prior to your trip to ensure there are no closures.
All visitors at Rocky Branch are required to pay a use fee. Please be prepared to show your hard copy pass or digital pass on your mobile device.
Print out or download the pass on your mobile device in advance of your visit. Connectivity may be limited, and the pass must be available to show at all times when visiting Rocky Branch.

Long lines for entrance to Rocky Branch are VERY common during peak season, on holidays, and during the summer months, and purchasing this pass does NOT provide special or faster entry in to the park.
Visitors purschasing the Annual Pass are encouraged to exchange their receipt for the plastic hang tag. For more information on exchanging for a plastic hangtag please call the Holt Resource Office at (205)-553-9373.
