In addition to the Late Exit Pass, Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area requires separate entrance fee and a timed entry ticket to access the Scenic Drive, October 1 to May 31, 8am -5pm. Please reserve your Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area Scenic Drive Timed Entry ticket prior to reserving your Late Exit Pass.

Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area offers late exit passes to climb multipitch routes that may result in late exit, to bivy on climbing routes over 5000 feet, and for canyoneering and backpacking in certain areas. This pass is not to be used for single pitch climbing. The walls available within each parking lot are detailed below. Select the late exit pass that corresponds with the wall you plan to climb or bivy on. You will be required to select an area during the pass selection process.  

Print out pass or write on a piece of paper the following information:

1. Confirmation Number

2. Date of Pass

3. Route 

Display pass or paper on your vehicle's dashboard.

These passes are intended for long routes that can't be completed within regular hours. Access to the walls from each parking lot are as follows. Overnight parking is only allowed for routes over 5000 ft: 

White Rock Parking Area:

Willow Springs Parking Area:

Bridge Mountain, North Peak, Ice Cube Canyon (The Maze), Lone Pine Spring, Switchback Spring 

Ice Box Canyon Parking Area:

Bridge Mountain (Northeast Arete), Northeast Buttress of Bridge Mountain, Buffalo Wall, Hidden Wall, Refrigerator Wall, The Cauldron 

Pine Creek Parking Area:

Rainbow Wall, Cloud Tower, Brownstone Wall, Ginger Buttress, Challenger Wall, Jungle Wall, Stick Gully, Gemstone Gully, Bird Hunter Buttress, Wall of Cracks, Jackrabbit Buttress, Jet Stream Wall, Mescalito, Paiute Wall, Bridge Mountain South Face, Magic Mountain, Spectrum Area 

Oak Creek Parking Area:

In addition to the Late Exit Pass, Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area requires separate entrance fee and a timed entry ticket to access the Scenic Drive, October 1 to May 31, 8am -5pm. You can use Red Rock Canyon NCA Annual Pass, your Interagency Annual Pass (example: America the Beautiful Pass) or you can purchase a day pass for entry. For your timed entry ticket, search "Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area Scenic Drive Timed Entry ticket" on Recreation.gov and reserve your timed entry date prior to reserving your Late Exit Pass.  

This pass is only valid for late exit to the Scenic Drive area at Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. The late exit pass allows climbers and backpackers to be in the above designated areas area up to two hours after closure and in the Willow Springs Area the ability to stay overnight above 5,000 feet in the Rainbow Mountains Wilderness.

The following parking lots are not authorized for late exit use: Fee Station, Visitor Center, Calico I, Calico II, Sandstone, and High Point.

The late exit pass does not cover camping fees in the campground. Camping is not permitted on the Scenic Drive.

Your vehicle's license plate number is required for purchasing the late exit pass and will be used for verification.

If you print the pass at home, you can display the pass on your vehicle's dashboard, with the quick response (QR) code visible during your visit.
