Overview

Outlet Channel Recreation Area is located below the dam at Enid Lake. Amenities include a fishing pier, three comfort stations, two fish cleaning stations, three group picnic shelters, and 27 individual picnic sites. This area is popular among fisherman, cyclists, walkers, and visitors wanting to enjoy a day at the lake picnicking, fishing, walking and cycling.

Facilities

The day uses offers 27 individual picnic sites that includes a grill, a serve table and picnic table. Three assessable comfort stations with flush toilets are located in this area. Other amenities includes three large picnic shelters, a playground, fishing pier and bank fishing. Nearby day use areas offers volleyball court, softball field, soccer field/football field, horseshoe pits, more picnic shelters, 1/2 mile fitness trail, fitness exercise area, a playground, bank fishing, boat ramps,life jacket loaner boards, beaches, amphitheaters and a view of the lake. 

Natural Features

Pavilions, picnic sites, and other amenities are nestled among towering native pine and oak trees. The surrounding woods provide habitat for squirrels, raccoons, chipmunks, deer, butterflies, geese and variety of birds. This day use area is off Interstate 55 and easily assessable to visitors and fishermen. It a perfect location for a day at the lake for picnicking, exercising, playing sports, walking fishing in the channel or to spend the day relaxing.

Outlet channel offers three comfort stations with flush toilets, 27 individual picnic sites, 3 picnic shelters, bank fishing and handicap accessible fishing per. This area is popular among fishermen and visitors wanting to enjoy a day at the lake fishing, picnicking, walking and cycling.

Nearby Attractions

The nearby towns of Water Valley and Batesville, Mississippi offers shopping, hotels, restaurants and emergency care facilities if needed. Memphis, Tennessee, approximately 60 miles, offers tours of Graceland, Home of Elvis Presley. His birthplace is located in nearby Tupelo, Mississippi.

  • America Beautiful Senior and Access cards are not accepted for picnic shelter and amphitheater reservations. 

    Picnic Shelters can be reserved for $50.00/day

    No Pets in buildings.

    No ATV's allowed.

Directions

<p>Take exit 233 off of Interstate 55 toward Enid Lake. Go east on County Road 36 for .6 miles. Take a slight right onto County Road 188 and you have arrived at the destination.</p>
