The Allegheny National Forest is planning prescribed fire operations near the south end of Tracy Ridge Recreation Area between April 1 and May 15, as weather conditions allow. A temporary closure will be enforced during operations, restricting public access to the project area, including the Tracy Ridge Trail System, a section of the North Country National Scenic Trail, and the Handsome Lake and Hopewell boat-to campgrounds. Operations are expected to last 1 to 2 days, followed by a few days of mop-up.
