This location is available on a first-come, first-served basis only. Visitors are required to physically arrive at the campground to purchase and claim a site.
Once on-site, you are able to pay for your campsite(s) by scanning a QR code using the Recreation.gov mobile app, and the Scan and Pay feature.
In order to utilize Scan & Pay on site, you will need to first download the free Recreation.gov mobile app https://www.recreation.gov/mobile-app prior to your arrival as some remote areas have limited or no cellular service.
Small, quiet campground with 7 campsites and 1 day use/picnic site available.
Facilities include tables, stoves, fire rings. Please pack out garbage. No water. Suitable for horse camping. Hitching posts and corrals are on site.
Accommodates up to 30 foot trailers.
Vegetation is chaparral amidst ponderosa pine, douglas fir, and oaks.
Whether it be a overnight camping or an extended trail ride by horseback, the Mendocino National Forest will provide you with unique experience. Overnight camping by horseback is a great way to introduce young and old alike to the pleasures of the great outdoors.
A short trail (0.8 mile) connects to the Deafy Glade Trail providing access to the Snow Mountain Wilderness.
Leave No Trace: Pack out all trash garbage, including food scraps.

Keeping horses in non-designated Forest campgrounds and picnic grounds is prohibited.
