Overview

This location is available on a first-come, first-served basis only. Visitors are required to physically arrive at the campground to purchase and claim a site. Once on-site, you may be able to pay for your campsite(s) by scanning a QR code using the Recreation.gov mobile app, and the Scan and Pay feature.

If this option is available, you will need to first download the free Recreation.gov mobile app https://www.recreation.gov/mobile-app prior to your arrival as some remote areas have limited or no cellular service.

Facilities

This campground is located along the Chiwawa River, 20 miles from Fish Lake. There are a total of 7 campsites along the floor of a large glacial carved valley. Sites are occupied on a first come first served basis.

Campsite dimensions are as follows:

Site #1 - 50' x 14'

Site #2 - 40' x 10'

Site #3 - 35' x 12'

Site #4 - 40' x 14'

Site #5 - 100' x 12'

Site #6 - 45' x 12'

Site #7 - 50' x 14'

• The final 5 mile section of Chiwawa River road to campground is very rough gravel and dirt, and may not be suitable for low clearance vehicles.

• Extra vehicle fee of $10.00/night.
