Overview

Bootleg campground offers solitude and a chance to get away from crowds in shaded Jeffrey Pines. The campground is across highway from West Walker River which has good fishing opportunities.

Facilities

Bootleg is a tent and RV-friendly campground that offers single family campsites with picnic tables and campfire rings. The campground has four restroom buildings that house flush toilets. Drinking water and garbage service is provided. Firewood is available to purchase from the host.

Campground is at an elevation of 6600 feet.

Important Notices

  • Bootleg Campground is located 22 miles north of Bridgeport on Highway 395 in Mono County, California. The elevation of the campground is 6650. The campground contains single and double-family sites equipped with picnic tables, food storage lockers and campfire rings with grills. Flush toilets, drinking water and trash collection are provided. Firewood is available for purchase from the host.

    Sites are $28 per day, extra vehicles $6 per day. No reservations needed, first come, first serve.

    Campground is operational late May to mid September, as weather and conditions allow.

<p>From Bridgeport, drive approximately 22 miles north on U.S. Highway 395. Campground is on left hand side of highway in Walker Canyon.</p>
