Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest
Renegade Campground is located on the shore of beautiful Strawberry Reservoir at an elevation of 7,700 feet. Visitors flock to Strawberry for its great fishing, boating and trail opportunities.
Flush toilets and drinking water are provided but there is no electricity or phone. Sites are equipped with picnic tables, fire rings, and grills. Improvements included paved roads, boat launch ramp, fish cleaning station, and garbage service. There are no shower facilities at this campground.

Don't Move Firewood: Help prevent the spread of tree-killing pests in our national forests by obtaining firewood near your destination and burning it on-site.
No ATVs or OHVs in campground.
Please understand that camping is an outdoor experience; therefore, we do not give refunds or credits for weather or natural conditions.
Site Capacities are one personal vehicle per single site and two vehicles per double site and one camping unit per site; 8 people at any one time. An extra vehicle fee will be applicable after the first vehicle, whether for day use or overnight use.
Senior Pass Discounts do not apply to long term sites.
Long term is a minimum of 30 days and a maximum of the entire summer season. (May-October weather depending.)
RV( Max length) is the TOTAL length of the site. RV( Max length - includes tow vehicle )
Camping fees include access to Boat-Launch facilities, Day-Use areas, and dump stations around Strawberry Reservoir.

The following are prohibited on site:
Tarps covering your RV
Dog fences/runs
Yard fences
Firewood piles larger than a cubic yard
Boxes under the RV
Visible plywood
Tents – cannot remain standing when not occupying the site or overnight sleeping
Free-standing screen rooms – cannot remain up when the site is not occupied
Free-standing stairways, ramps, or decks.
Non-attached enclosures (i.e. porches, sunrooms, sheds, etc.).
Bikes must be neatly stored at the campsite and out of sight, if possible.
Enclosed storage type trailers and tow dollies must fit on the parking spur or be put into a dry storage at the marina.
Yard decorations, including but not limited to, windmills, sunflowers, flamingoes, sundials, wind chimes, etc.
Auto/boat repair work will not be allowed on-site.
No physical fasteners (screws, nails, etc.) to tables, sunshades, windscreens.
No planting or removal of vegetation, including flower pots or hanging house plants.
No defining of walkways/trails / etc., with rocks or other materials.
No temporary structures, ramps, carpets, pallets, or any other means of access to boats moored on the lake are allowed.
Motorized access to the lake shoreline is allowed only via designated public roads. Individuals requiring assistance with loading and unloading are encouraged to use the developed facilities at Strawberry Bay Boat Ramp.
All animals must be kept on a leash and cleaned up after properly and promptly. Animals may not be left unattended. After one request to quiet the animal, barking dogs must be kept inside your rig.
Trash receptacles are for refuse produced on site.
Dumping of refuse from home is strictly prohibited.
No mowing, trimming, or weed whacking is allowed with electrical or gas-powered equipment.
All Long-term customers must obey all campground rules and regulations.
All equipment and personal items must be removed by the end of the season.
BOAT STORAGE is available:
At the campsite only if the boat and all other approved vehicles fit on the camp spur.
In dry storage at the Marina.
Boat and/or trailer cannot be left in any day-use parking lot.
MOORING is available:
Can use a slip at the marina
Can only moor the boat on the lake while present at the campsite. Additionally, boats can only remain on the lake for 16 consecutive days in a 30-day period as per Forest Order.
Anchoring the boat on the lakeshore is not allowed
The campground is set among rolling sagebrush covered hills just above Strawberry Reservoir. Most campsites offer sweeping views of the pretty reservoir and surrounding hills. The campground has no trees and no shade. Stands of aspens and pines cover the distant hillsides.
The Strawberry OHV Trail System offers 75 miles of trails. Hikers and mountain bikers enjoy the extensive trail system as well.
Strawberry Visitor Center has interpretive displays, a working fish trap and egg collection station and a nature trail.
Strawberry Reservoir offers excellent boating, water skiing and canoeing. Anglers fish for rainbow trout, cutthroat trout and Kokanee salmon. Renegade Day Use Area, 1/4 mile below the site, provides great beach access, a marina and boat ramp.
Other popular activities in the Strawberry area include hiking, biking and horseback riding.
