Part of Wallowa Whitman National Forest
Irondyke Forest Camp is a small rustic facility located along the Wild and Scenic Lostine River. Situated near the river in the cool pine and fir trees, the site is popular for summer and fall camping and hunting. The campground provides 5 sites and opportunities to explore Eagle Cap Wilderness or to enjoy nearby Hells Canyon.
The primary use season is from early June to the end of September.
Quiet hours are 10:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.
Irondyke Campground provides 5 campsites with picnic tables, fire rings and parking spaces.
With the continued hot temps and low Relative Humidity’s predicted in the weather on top of all the continued large fires going in the region, the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest will move to an IFPL 4 on Saturday morning the 8th of August at 0001.
With tinder dry forest fuels and high daytime temperatures, conditions are prime for potential human-caused forest fires. We ask that you be extremely careful when out on the forest.
