Part of Wallowa Whitman National Forest
Turkey Flat Forest Camp is one of several small campgrounds located along the beautiful Wild and Scenic Lostine River. Nestled in a cool fir and pine tree forest, the campground is popular during the summer for local and regional campers and hunters. The facility has 3 sites, each with a table, fire ring and parking spot. This rustic campground provides ready access to the Eagle Cap Wilderness.
Primary season of use is early June through September
Quiet hours are 10:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.
The facility has 3 sites, each with a table, fire ring and parking spot.
With the continued hot temps and low Relative Humidity’s predicted in the weather on top of all the continued large fires going in the region, the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest will move to an IFPL 4 on Saturday morning the 8th of August at 0001.
With tinder dry forest fuels and high daytime temperatures, conditions are prime for potential human-caused forest fires. We ask that you be extremely careful when out on the forest.
