Part of Wallowa Whitman National Forest
The Coverdale Campground is situated along the Wild and Scenic Imnaha River in the Hells Canyon National Recreation Area. This small rustic campground with 7 sites offers both tent and trailer sites near the river in an open ponderosa pine and fir setting. Popular activities include fishing, day hikes, relaxing, picnicking and photography. Drinking water is located at the Indian Crossing and Ollokot Campgrounds seasonally.
Primary use season is from June to September.
Quiet hours are from 10pm to 6am.
The campground has 7 campsites with picnic tables, fire rings and parking spaces.
With the continued hot temps and low Relative Humidity’s predicted in the weather on top of all the continued large fires going in the region, the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest will move to an IFPL 4 on Saturday morning the 8th of August at 0001.
With tinder dry forest fuels and high daytime temperatures, conditions are prime for potential human-caused forest fires. We ask that you be extremely careful when out on the forest.
