Overview

Bypass a summer bummer by pitching your tent at South Fork Campground. Conveniently located along the South Fork of the Burnt River, South Fork Campground offers 12 tent/trailer sites and two tent-only sites nestled under the cool pine and fir trees. There’s nothing fishy about the activities here and there is something for everyone: fishing, off-roading, hiking, and even hunting!

The campground is very popular in the late spring through fall for fishing, hiking, hunting and OHV riding on the nearby Blue Mountain OHV Trails.

Primary use season is from May to September.

Quiet hours are from 10pm to 6 am.

Facilities

South Fork Campground has 14 sites, each with picnic table, fire ring and parking space.

Notifications and Alerts

  • With the continued hot temps and low Relative Humidity’s predicted in the weather on top of all the continued large fires going in the region, the Wallowa-Whitman National Forest will move to an IFPL 4 on Saturday morning the 8th of August at 0001.

With tinder dry forest fuels and high daytime temperatures, conditions are prime for potential human-caused forest fires. We ask that you be extremely careful when out on the forest.
