Black Fox Campground is a remote nine-site campground nestled within a spruce forest along the South Fork Rapid Creek, adjacent to the Black Fox Botanical Area.

Important Notices

  • In accordance with standard industry practices, ExplorUS will be assessing an additional vehicle fee of $5.00 per night on the second vehicle in each single family campsite, and on the third and fourth vehicle in any double family campsite, provided these vehicles are not joined to the first vehicle by a hitch and towed onto the site. In the case of motorcycles, the first two are considered to be one vehicle and the third and fourth are also considered to be one vehicle. No additional vehicle fees are collected for bicycles. This fee is payable to the camp host upon arrival

  • Our facility is experiencing a temporary water outage. Please bring all the water you’ll need for your visit, including drinking water.

  • Please Note: One RV with tow vehicle per single site or one vehicle per tent site. Most sites can accommodate 1 extra vehicle that is not included with the reservation fee. Extra vehicles will be charged a per night fee that is collected at the campground.

Directions

<p>From Rochford, travel west on National Forest Service Road (NFSR) 231 for approximately eight miles. Turn south on NFSR 233, the campground will be on the left after you cross the bridge over Rapid Creek.</p>
